Chop us one of those cats off will you? If you siamese the exhaust you'll only need one.

Might require a small change to the chassis, but go for it!

What is it, by the way?

Mark Allanson - 8/10/04 at 07:17 PM

4.2 V8 Audi S4 engine and 6 speed Quattro gearbox. Chipped to 425BHP, done 1500 miles before the driver launched it from the road, did £22,000 of damage, but its worth £38,000 so I am reshelling it! Rescued attachment AudiS4V82.jpg

Just out of curiosity how much does it weigh?

Hellfire - 8/10/04 at 08:11 PM

Blimey - one hell of an engine!

Mark Allanson - 8/10/04 at 08:31 PM

It weighs about the same as a pinto cylinder head, 2 of us put it on the trolley.

It is so complex though, its got more computers than a space shuttle, there is even one to control the variable inlet manifold. It alters the length to adjust the torque/BHP ratio Rescued attachment AudiS4V83.jpg

my 1996 mazda 323f zxi (really great car) with a 2.0 litre v6 had controlled intake geometry - so its not that new a technique

But did it look as good as this baby? 8 separate coils, revolving inlet tract, all ally construction - I had to have a lay down!

stephen_gusterson - 8/10/04 at 11:00 PM

prob not tho

a jag v12 can look pretty neat and are peanuts on ebay. a mere 300 hp in comparison tho!
