I used the donor gearbox mount..
My gearstick bounces up and down over small bumps.
Obviously the mount is very soft :p
Has anyone 'done away' with the rubber mount?
I was thinking of welding a plate under the mount
to stop the travel but keep the rubber
only for vibration & isolation
cheers guys

I actually made my own from 4mm flat bar and used rubbers from a TVR between bracket and chassis.
Quite solid and does have a little give for dampening.
Looks like I'm off under the car to sort this out ..
you want the older 4 speed style mount (escort, Cortina etc...) its nice and solid
its also the one that both caterham and westfield use - and caterham actually sell it quite cheap

I made my own out of polybush suspension bushes but I also mounted the engine with the same. Is it deffo the gearbox mount that is the problem and not the whole engine/ gearbox assembly?
I used the above part from Caterham.
It's smaller than the sierra item so I had to make an easy plate/frame to sit it in but it does the job well.
