Is it possible to identify a Sierra type LSD (viscous) form a photo?
One often see's images on Ebay etc with the back cover removed and I wondered if there was any tell-tale signs to look for?
The one on the left is LSD
Not easy to tell from a photo
Turn input shaft both outputs turn the same way

The open diff will let you and spin the other faster.
The LSD will not let you stop one output shaft.

This is in my car. 7" viscous LSD. Ford helpfully often write the ratio as shown.
