I will probably need one when the engine change Is complete but I don't know what would work best. Has anyone got any pictures of theirs if your
running one.
I have around 3-3 1/2" clearance.

I have 3" under my Dunnell Zetec sump, that has been fine for 11 years now.
Do you use it over speed bumps etc?
I made a flat bottom for the engine bay, with a step down to go under the sump. I have not done a lot of miles, but did go down some very bumpy gravel
roads, with no ill effects.
Basically, I used hose clamps to hold the ally sheet to the chassis at the front, and used 2 more clamps wrapped around the chassis behind the sump,
with some wood in between the ally and the chassis. Make any sense? It was kind of fun to make actually.
I don't suppose you have any pictures do you RK?
yes I'll get them tonight. Sorry I don't know how to upload pics.
Look in my archive. There are a few in there.

Hi
We made a pair of skids out of 40X5mm steel fitted from the rack plate
Under the sump & back up to a piece of unistrut fitted to the chassis, open end up
with unistrut top hat brackets which are nice & strong galvanised & the
right size to clamp the unistrut to the chassis (no drilling).
Locktite to bolts into channel nuts, nylocks to rackplate.
See rough sketch
Sumpskids
Hope this is clear , or as mud ?
If its the latter give me a utu & I'll send you my No.
This works well ,as there is nothing to hit against, a bit like skids
They Just push the car up. (experience)
Good luck
René
