Rear exit exhaust on INDY
mark chandler - 18/3/12 at 03:31 PM

Hello

I have been asked by a few people how I routed my exhaust out the back in an effort to cut down noise.

3" pipe all the way through so:

From the front

Exhaust from front
Exhaust from front

Under the arch and turned in front of the rear bulkhead, 4" hole

can back
can back

Under arch
Under arch

It goes behind the seat, boxed in of course

bulkhead box
bulkhead box

Through the rear bulkhead, this is an elongated hole as the curve runs through

through bulkhead
through bulkhead

It then kinks under the halfshaft

under halfshaft
under halfshaft

Then out the back

Exhaust rear
Exhaust rear

The purpose is to remove engine and induction noise as I have struggled to pass track day limits.

Regards Mark

Similar to mine but I have slightly more clearence to rear tyre and I took mine under lower rear wishbone and back axle to keep away from Fuel tank. I have loads of Clearence but my pipe work is smaller id
