I did ask this in another thread which is quite long, so may have been missed.
Does anyone know what this wire and connector is for on the Type 9 gearbox in my MK Indy? It is on the opposite side to the mechanical speedo cable.
It was/is not connected to anything.
Description
Electronic speedo input?
That would be my guess too
Electronic speed sensor (Hall affect sensor). Found on later boxes where the engine was efi.
If your speedo takes a signal from a hall affect sensor its much better than magnets glued to the prop.
