Helllooooooo
The air duct I currently have on my fury exits down instead of straight out which means I have a long winding length of duct to my px600 airbox...
If I could get a duct with straight exit into te box I think itd work better and at least look neater. I can't find one of the dimensions I need
though to fit under the bonnet bulge..so was wondering if anyone on here could make one? Preferably carbon unless it's going to cost a fortune
then ally would be fine.
box
Forum Code:
airbox
Not sure it would fit as your water header is in a different spot
The airbox setup all works fine I just want a duct the size as the one i already have but with back exit to go straight to the airbox. Can't find
one as it's not a STD size, it's a Ferrari 360 challenge brake duct I bought which just happened to fit.
I know the ram air effect isnt much on a car but you can't be getting any with an open filter just attached to an airbox?
need fresh air coming in just for the cooling factor, neve fancied drawin air in from down low as I ave come across a coulpe of cars that thought they where wet and dry vacs when the hit a deep puddle. Both engines totally fubbared due to bent rods

You need something like Yella Terra Over The Radiator Cold Air Intake Commodore on eBay (end time 08-Apr-11 11:30:56
BST)

Well that's what I already have but the exit is down. It's the black thing on top of the rad. It works fine I just want a straighter and shorter duct
Maybe I've not explained myself very well. I just need this but In my own dimensions http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/Performance/Brakes/Brake_Ducts_Ducting/Revotec_Rectangular_Intake_Duct/864/0/40427

200 x 50 rectangular inlet tapering to 75 outlet about 200 long in total
There's ducts that are close but it needs to be those dims to fit snugly under the bonnet bulge on top of the rad. Most of the ones I've seen are 51mm outlets too which is too small ad I don't want to be faffing with adapters.
P.s thanks welderman I've relplied to the yooo2yoo!
indykid - 12/3/11 at 06:30 PMGlad you got there in the end
Since that one suits your needs, couldn't you cut the back of the duct off, then bend the wire in the hose into a rectangular shape to match?
It wouldn't need to be perfect and with some tidy duct tape, would look perfectly respectable.

Thats what I was about to write.
Yazza54 - 12/3/11 at 07:18 PMHmm I want it to look like it was made to do the job
indykid - 12/3/11 at 07:25 PMThat's down to your fabrication skills I guess. It shouldn't be hard to make a good job of it though
welderman - 14/3/11 at 03:40 PMI know its paper but this is what your after i think, with a 75mm bit of tube on the end.

Yazza54 - 15/3/11 at 04:50 PMYep! How long is that or is it just as an example?
Btw thanks for the u2u totally missed the post
welderman - 15/3/11 at 06:45 PMSample but it's approx 250mm long
Yazza54 - 15/3/11 at 07:18 PMWould have to be 200mm long to have enough room to fit the pipe but apart from that it'll work. So 75mm pipe, duct 200 long with 200x50 opening. Sound doable? Thanks for this!
welderman - 15/3/11 at 08:28 PMYep
:{THC}:YosamiteSam - 16/3/11 at 11:57 AMyou could join the 2 together with either heatshrink [if you can find some big enuff] or thin wall rubber pipe thats very flexible - held in place with tie wraps

With welding like that I wouldn't mind if it was visible
