I am putting a RV8 in my Viento and I am thinking about keeping the engine steady today. I have seen some good idea's on peoples car at shows.
I was thinking a really small shock absorber from a really small car. Maybe a golf cart or something.
Anyone have any genius solutions?
I had one in my MGB - modified exhaust mounting rubber.
cheap suspension spring from a Old motorbike. 125 or something.
would stop it virbrating as much i guess.
genius or stupid?

I fitted this to mine, mainly to stop the engine moving over when cornering hard ( it was rubbing the chassis).
And, it isn't noisy either....
I am going to fit a engine damper from a Volvo 480 (maybe all 400 series), p/n 447758

we use a little rear shock and spring from a mountain bike, they can be had for a tener, they are adjustable and small and easy to mount. if one cant
cope you could put 1 each side. we use one on a 3 rotor rx7 with 600 bhp and 500 ftlbs and it does a really good job. they look quite trick to as
they are usually anodised or shiney. oh, and they are light
