Hi everyone, been thinking about putting a set of bike carbs on the pinto in my capri, just wondering if anyone has any advice on what to got for? The
engines slightly breathed upon, its got a performance exhaust and manifold, a skimed and ported head with a piper 285 camshaft and i am slowly putting
myself together a megajolt kit for it. 40mm carbs would be nice but what do you all think?
Cheers
Bogg Brothers tend to fit Yam R1 carbs to Pintos, and also do a manifold for them (and will do the rolling road set up).
i had r1 carbs on my pinto, they were awesome, i know have r1 throttle bodies!

any carbs from a bike over 600cc should do fine. i'm going for zx9r carbs too.
R1 carbs tend to be pretty expensive i think

Thinking of doing the same...
Cheers everyone jacko i've had a look through your picture before when i was doing thinking about doing the conversion, tried to find them again but i couldnt remember your username, il have another nosey now. Is there any difference between ZX9R carb and ZX6R carbs?
The zx9r carbs are 40mm choke's and the zx6 are not as big
ZX6R carbs are excellent. I've got them on my 2.0 Zetec and they work great. They come with a TPS and have adjustable needles that make getting
mixture right dead easy.
