Pucker job all round, Greg.
Especially like the bonnet vents - nice ones.
Cheers, Pewe
Nice job there!
I've just done similar on my MK and it now runs mid-scale reliably.
John.
I have sprayed clear laquer over the mesh, will be fine I hope, just need some decent weather to thrash it now!!!
Nice job mate.
Needed a steady hand to cut those vents i bet!
You going to club on Tuesday?
I'm not, i'm down at Worcester first thing the morning after
Will be there on tues , go for a blat
good luck for Wed/thurs mate
Greg
Nice job.
Surprised it gets hot though!
Mine is on polo rad with no vents in bonnet, and never gets hot. You have to be stationary in traffic for over 15 mins in very hot weather for the fan
to kick in!
Cheers ,
I think that the first rad I had fitted wasnt up to it . it seems smaller than a polo rad - and because I had moved the engine as far back as
possible to the scuttle the temp under the bonnet was a lot hotter before I did the mods plus I found out a new fan switch wasnt working either!! may
wrap the exhaust header yet, will see how I get on
NS DEV , what temp fan switch are you running?? mines an 87deg one, is this too cool? would it be better with a 92deg one?
I'm not sure to be totally honest, but 87 is definitely too cool. Normal running temp for these is mid 90's, depends on what stat is used
but mid 90's is where they normally sit.
My racer used to hit 105 deg every race, and 110 on a hot day (not that I recommend doing that!!! )
ps my fan switch is std astra 16v or cavalier 16v one, they fit the polo rad, so prob also fit golf one
