VR sensor mounting on a Pinto
snapper - 18/6/09 at 06:12 PM

The on going saga of my Pinto motor has lead me to buy a running spare so i won't be off the road for long, the spare will be fitted with bits off the current 2.1 heavy breathing, oil spewing rough running dog while i build a third based on the 205 block from a Transit, this will have mostly new bits except for sump, steel light flywheel, carbs and exhuast.

The VR sensor bracket on my current engine is mounted to low so i want to put it in a better position on the Transit block.

Show me your (Megajolt) VR sensor mounting positions gentlemen

mine is mounted in the 4 o'clock position, when looking at the engine from the front

iv done the same as above but my one starts from the altenator holes and comes round and i have a bolt like above has to steady it,il grt a pic tomoz

Mine is almost identical to RichardK's but with a different bracket.

Only pain is changing the alternator belt, but doesnt need doing too often thankfully.
