Hi All,

After yesterdays problems of the siezed oil pump, I got the cam out today to inspect the damage.

so what to do next?.......

I'm leaning towards a new engine, as I've lost confidence in this one.

I'll rebuild it anyway as I have a spare cam, and sell it 1600 xflow +0.030 pistons anyone?

Just replace the camshaft, followers and pump and check the rest of the engine.
The lobes look a little tired on this camshaft anyway. It should be ok once replaced, as long as you get all of the broken metal out of it.

It will need a full strip down at the least as you will need to get all of those metal fragments out of the oil galleries before you fire it up again!
