Drive it?
Rent one or drive it.
Just remember to insure it first.
It's what I did. Means your brakes will be bedded in nicely for the test too.

Hire a van and a trailer is one option, contact a recovery company and see of they will dleiver and collect for a fixed price.

carry a gallon of water and oil with you and join the aa/rac before you set off!
good luck
got cover, thay are sending me a note, all the problems are sorted,im gona use some black fuel hose around my wings to make them sick out more,
what kind of tools are vital to take i did pack a box full, but it ant gona all fit in the car now, gona take oil and water,
fingers crossed
I was really lucky in that Ned was willing to come along with me so he drove the tintop and I filled it up with tools.
Bit of luck too as 5 miles from home I heard a knocking noise and discovered I hadn't done the wheel nuts up properly!!!
I also took my girlfriend along in the passenger seat so that I had a navigator in case I got lost!
I think she was a little bored though:
Sunny day, quiet SVA station
Cheers,
James

I drove mine best part of a hundred miles to the sva.
took my sat nav. tools (few spanners. few spare bolts pilers screwdriver. battery drill)
my jump pack which has a compresser. and it powered my sat nav.
also some egding. cable tyes. map book. spare bulbs. water oil.jack. wheel brace.
basicly everthing u would normally pack for a long drive. oh and a flask of coffee.
the rac won't deal with non registered vehicles. but green flag will.
