One of the guys in our Championship (2007 overall winner) is trying to rebuild his English LSD but the parts he;s ordered don't fit. Any thoughts? His post on the championship forum says -
Wyn, the shims, friction plates and diff shaft on the right in the photo are mine, the bag of shims and friction plates on the left is the repair kit which does not work/fit. There are some subtle differences between the two. The shim lugs on my diff are 1.5cm thick, 6cm deep and 9cm wide as opposed to the repair kit which is 3cm, 9cm x 9cm. The centre hole is 42cm on mine as opposed to 47cm on the repair kit. The friction plates on my diff are 1.5cm thick and the centre hole 38cmfrom tip of one tooth to another, with 21 teeth present. On the repair kit they are 3cm thick with the centre 40cm with 20 teeth.
