Looking at selling a load of engine bits that I accumulated (including zetecs).
I have this alloy manifold (as well as 2 plastic ones!, no, don't ask why ) and it strike me that the inlets could be cut down to allow bike
carbs to be fitted using hoses.
Anyone know what car.model this is for?
Anyone seen this done on this type of manifold?

I've seen it done a couple of times, and even done it myself once but the manifold never actually made it onto the engine before the car got
sold.
You need some porting tools to open the manifold out to keep the cross sectional area large enough to match the throttle bodies, but other than that
it's a cheap way of making a manifold if you have the time.
I used an injection manifold, which looks like it was more ovalised that the one in your photo - yours looks like a better bet if anything.

hmmm, 's what I thought.
it is a 2 part manifold with another part that bolts on containig the throttle.
here it is from the outlet side.
..... so what's it worth?

Sold mine for £20, now I wish I'd kept it to cut down and make a bike carb inlet
kerching!!!
Looks like a CVH manifold, from an XR2 or 3 I. Same port spacing as a zetec but different stud pattern, and intermediate plate can be fabricated.....
