As above, have just contacted the new owners of Robin Hood regarding an ali scuttle. Any problems I should know about as it's difficult to carry it back if not right.

Hi
Are you getting it shipped over to you?

Don't know about the new owners.
but I was going to buy a nose cone from them last year for my Haynes Roadster
They told me it would fit...

Glad I went to collect.... It didn't...

they dont look that nice from the dashboard , theyre only pop riveted together , you sure a GRP one isnt better for you ?

I feel sure you could have one made locally and of good quality for a fraction of the cost and less chance of damage in shipping.

I made mine, pretty easy as its only bent ali in a single plane really.

Make an MDF buck then roll the ali over it and dress over the edges then cut end plates and fit. Mine is welded but no reason not to rivit, especially if thats what RH do, once nailed together it will hold shape.

Now just add a water run which will support the bonnet. £15 worth of ali, if it all goes wrong you have lost a couple of quid.

It will also fit prefectly!
