what size should my jets be drilled out to for a 2 litre ecotec? 1.6? 1.7? 1.8?
is there anywhere i can buy them already drilled? i have a horrible feeling i'd end up breaking the drill, or end up ovaling the hole if i did it
myself. plus these drills seem pretty expensive

No need to worry about drilling them, the jets are soft so if you use a pillar drill they just go straight through as your not taking much metal off.
ah, haven't got a pillar drill i have got one of those stands for putting a normall drill into, but its rubbish...
is it soft enough to do by hand with one of those hand drill things?
DONT use a pillar drill
put the drill bit in a vice and just twist the jet on the drill by hand very easy to do
My jets are drilled out to 1.7 on a 2.1 pinto in zx9r /e carbs so if i were you i would start at 1.6
Jacko
sounds easy enough actually.
will i need to change the needle too? i have no idea
NO you may have to lift them on the clip or if like my carbs put washers under the head of the needles
In the photo you can see holes in line with the needles when boggs set my carbs up that blocked them off with alloy welding wire to stop the fuel /air
mix getting to week at high revs
I dont know if you will need to do this some people dont have it done
carb
Jacko
I'm using different carbs to these now. haven't had a look at the new ones properly, but i'll bear that in mind. cheers
I recommend you get it on a rolling road when you get it going they will set it up spot on for you
Jacko
thats a good call, something i will def do.
just wondering though, by redrilling them, how much metal will be taken out, or rather what size will they be now? can the car 'run' as they
are now? what effect will this have on emissions? will it run real lean? can i richen the mixture up to compensate til its ready to go to boggs or the
likes?

Id start with 155 and see what u get. It will run as it is just maybe a bit lean flat out. What jets have u at the moment? 130?
