Made in approx 1920's, 1.6 litre supercharged, capable of about 110mph - with 1920's brakes! 
This was on display at today's Lavenham Rare Breeds Show.

This one also impressed me - just sitting there, with the public milling around...
 
If you don't understand what I'm getting at, just Google what a very tidy Mercedes 300SL Gull-wing is worth at current prices...
...The Pistonheads area was also 'full of value' - Aston Martins, Lambos (2), a Ferrari, Dodge Vipers, many TVRs, Bentley Continental... oh,
and Ferg's GTM!

Everything in the engine compartment is original (it's a tube for the ignition leads), apart from a Facet electric fan fixed to the radiator!
Obviously it boiled over once too often...

Out of the 467 made all 2794 are still on the road
If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation

What do you mean? According to Wikipedia, 1400 gull-wings were made (not including the ali-bodied 300SLR racers), and 1858 roadsters.
I can't imagine anyone trying to make replicas (as forgeries).

I was referring to the T35's. A rotted example was found buried in France, and parts were auctioned off, the 2 separate chassis sides were
'restored' into 2 complete cars by their respective purchasers!
