Another good autograss vid!!

Just trying to get some enthusiasm for getting into the garage to get my class 7 finished in time for next year, after spending the whole weekend doing carpentry which I bloody hate!!

Found this class 7 vid from the nationals, its pretty goos as they go, certainly got me enthusiasm back again

PS the Polo they are filming is the twin vee twin jobbie that inspired my fiat 126 twin.

I've hardly been this season now I've discovered civilised (tarmac) circuits. I'll have to be careful what I say but Lee's driving looks slightly more refined than his brother Carl's.

Civilised....pah!!

The expense puts me off!! Spannering on a caterham c400 this year, next the to GT's which is good fun, but I wouldn't want to be paying the bills!!

I've done nowt this year either, and our club's been in some upheaval which might mean I change allegiance next year, hardly dare say it being from near leicester but I am considering putting an "E" on the side of the car, at least I'll know the track ready for MAP

Great video although sound doesn't do it justice. Watching grasstrack is a great day out. Places change more in on lap than in one race of F1.

Might do it if I had a trailer and somewhere to keep a car. Don't know if I fancy cleaning all the mud out though.

LOL, the two most important tools for autograss when you get home are the pressure washer and the wet and dry vac!!

First pressure wash it, then vac all the mud and water out afterwards and tip it in the garden.

You will soon find that you have much deeper flower borders than you started with!!

I don't know but I have a feeling it may be one of the single busa minis that's out there.

There are a few "super lightweight" cars using one bike engine and beating the twins, but you have to have the absolute minimum cage to save enough weight and that's not something I will do!!

To be honest there "were" a number of technically illegal minis racing, but in time honoured fashion, the rules have been changed to suit them as they were made by somebody important!!

LOL no problem though, the same rule changes have conveniently meant that my fiat is now technically legal which it wasn't before!!

It's a funny thing isnt it, the rules are there for everyone to see but if the right people break them then the rules are altered to suit.
Some of the saloons are far removed from the prodution car they started out as, just the outer skin left really!

Dangle_tk: the tracks are all oval, the size varies a bit but around the 1/4 mile mark, depends greatly on the field available. Not all the cars are as wildly modded as those, there are restriced mods classes to keep the cost in check. There isnt really such a thing as cheap motorsport but it is good value.

Those are some very enthusiastic supporters!

Is there anywhere near Northampton where they do this, I wouldn't mind going to watch.

I saw them earlier this year at the Autosport show at the NEC. They sounded good there and could virtually pull wheelies!
