Whats your second choice to build?...

If I were'nt building a locost my next choice would be a 550 spyder.

Lets face it I'm NOT building a locost,I'm flattening my ass in front of this computer dreaming about other cars (god I suck)

No really, what would it be?

Well I cant start my Locost till next summer

But If I wasnt gonna build one I would build a Chopper (like Jesse James style, not 1970's style). With a HUGE 280 rear tire, 100hp. Probly a 21" front rim, all the body work done by myself...

Ok, can you tell what I am building after the Locost? :p

A Hummer replica on a GMC Suburban chassis (aluminum Catvee out of Canada).

4-door soft top, four-across seating, big V-8, air conditioning, coolers under the seats

I would rather have one of these than an actual Hummer, at one-quarter the cost. Still can't afford one, 'tho.

A sports car is really first choice, and I would rather have a Locost than anything else. If I had more money to throw at it, I'd just make it nicer.

Welllllll, there's tons of projects that I'd like to do. I'd like to build a really nice cobra - again, not some pilgrim tat, a quality gardner douglas one.

But probably before that a project that I've had in mind for some time now - a space frame chassised, Audi RS4 powered, double unequal wishbones all round, 4wd street sleeper VW polo!

For me it would have to be a Lancia Stratos replica, with a full 3.0 Alfa V6, Widest, wildest rubber that would fit. Complete Martini colours...OH and a speed trap detector.

It would need about 20K to do it right, thats 25 times greater than what I have spent on my reality locost so far!

For me it would have to be something REALLY challenging.. (like my current project is easy????)

Probably, an enclosed mid-engined sports car....modern styling, scratch bult.....

We'll see....finish this one first..

3hydraulic lift
4Bridgeport vertical mill
5Beyonce Knowles as assistant(as my wife has divorced by this point)
6 english wheel
7 a real lathe (not my craptacular enco)

if cash were no object, then it'd be a house (with massive barnlike workshop/garage, obviously)

but as for cars, i'd love to get a heritage shell for somthing old but sporty, like an MG midget or a mk1 mini, and start from scratch, building my ultimate car (somthing that looks plain on the surface, but has the oomph where it counts)

I live in texas,..where the sky is blue,....the women are beautiful,.....and the beer is absolute shite!!!!

"The beer is like making love in a canoe......F*CKING CLOSE TO WATER!!!

Total and complete dishwater swill...

bat p*ss without the pleasent after taste...

bleach with 'skunky' hops....

There is one decent one "Corona"(Mexico)

I tend to like "wies biers".Another one I like is Paulener Hefewiesen (sp?)

I have had a real hand drawn pint or two in the U.K.(second best thing you guys do!)

So Steve, Which one do you fancy? (oh do I feel a beer thread coming)

Boddingtons inst bad......but there is a version called boddingtons gold that I havnt seen for a while thats a bit more creamy. Boddingtons is a tad on the thin side for me - makes you want to drink a lot of it.

Just lately I have drunk a lot of grolsh and stella artois from the bottle. Thats cos a UK supermarket (Tesco) keep selling em cheap. I like Stella tho.

They did a good deal on san miguel - spanish beer - thats pretty nice. When you are on a spanish vacation thats ofen all you can get - or German stuff.

One thing you probably wont get in the USA (Alan may pine for this) is carlsberg specil brew. Its 9% alcohol and you can taste it. Very distructive stuff. Afour pack of those and you would cut your car in half with a grinder and laugth about it until sober.

Michelob has gotta be the worse stuff Ie had in America, and I avoid bud if at all possible.....

Special Brew, also known as Tramp Oil. Them what live beneath old railway arches swear (alot) by it. Can be a handy alternative to Nitromors too. (I've drunk enough to know).

Banks' mild. That's proper, dirty beer.

Neil.

tescos do four cans of weak (less than 3% stuff) for about 89 pence (1.30 approx). I ve never bought it, but thats a better deal than special brew if your a cheapster that just wanna get pissed - a lot of volume to cope with tho.!

Noodle, its got to be Holdens Special or Golden Glow for me, or Banks's Bitter for the propper 10 pint + session ale.

As one famous Rocker proclaimed

"you can save your thanks's i'll have a pint of Banks's"
