That mini wasn't rusty just a little moth eaten All floors/A panels/sills/boot floor/complete front end having to be chopped out and
replaced seem to be normal for a mini resto

I did a similar thing with one of my minis. It started out as a not too rusty (thankfully) white mayfair which was very shabby and it ended up like
this:
