what is I heard on the news that it's only backwards compatible with only a handful of PS2 games.
I hope that isn't true as if it is I'll either wait until they sort it out or it'll have to drop in price a fair bit

It'd need a hardware change to become properly backwards compatible like the Jap/US version, can't see it happening too soon. Can't
remember why Sony decided to take the chip out of the European versions, probably just to save themselves a few pennies (they do make a loss on every
PS3 sold)

didn't know i was on dad's acount but nope i a student not there much so plenty
of time to play it now that i got it looks nice walk through on setup very good so far just updating will tell ya all if its worth the money

I don't think Blu-ray is quite that steep, but they do apparently cost sony about 800 quid per unit to produce. The money is all made on the
games...

i just going by what i was told still alot of money but hey i like it
i don't know if its the best out of them all but i'd still buy one again really like the control set up

Something like 12 games initally. The emotion engine chip is dropped for the Europe release and the software emulation is apparently wee poor.
Sony tried to spin this with crap about next gen being the way forward, after touting that a big feature of the PS3 was backwards compatibility.
