Done Also

I don't normally get involved in things i know nowt about but that Private eye article focussed my attention.

Silly question, but if this guy is Majority shareholder and sole Director, how will a petition get him out, if he will not go voluntarilly?

And you run and you run to catch up with the sun but its sinking, Racing around to come up behind you again, the sun is the same in a relative way but your older, shorter of breath and one day closer to death

Did you see them throw the photographer out...? My 8 year old lad was asking why and I couldn't answer...

And its in the Times today, with some interesting comment about Haslam too..!!

Never annoy the press...

Cheers

I wouldn't have seen it as i have been one of the 2000 stay aways for a while now, i have noticed the new batch of signs that have gone up all over town and further afield though,

Dan, the photographer is in court on Friday, his crime, Haslam out on his screen saver...........

Thanks, heres a quick snippet too keep you up too date.........

WALSALL wandered into a private conflict at Field Mill and ended up surrendering ground in their own long-term campaign.

This match was precisely three seconds old when Mansfield's civil war resurfaced, their supporters hurling the first vitriol of the day at hated club owner Keith Haslam.

That launched a fractious afternoon which included, surely, a first in English football - a person ejected from a ground for possessing a seditious screensaver!

Haslam took exception to photographer Dan Westwell's "Haslam Out" laptop screensaver and ordered his removal by stewards.

Rarely has a snapper received a standing ovation on his way out of the ground. But, flushed by this acclaim, the departing Westwell dug himself a deeper hole. He offered Haslam a valedictory gesture which turned ejection into arrest.

edit too add a bit more interesting reading, take the football out of this if your not a footy fan, you can still see the problems here..........

Amid chaotic scenes at Field Mill, and chanting against owner Keith Haslam, a very popular photographer is escorted from the ground during the game....

Dan Westwell, known to virtually all Stags supporters thanks to his excellent camera work over many years covering the Stags, was escorted from pitch side during the Stags 2-1 win over Walsall.

Dan was led out by a number of stewards and local police for what is being reported as having an 'offending' Haslam Out screen saver on his laptop. Dan was positioned just under the Director's Box at pitch level when the stewards moved in to escort him out.

Dan in recent weeks has also captured the mood of Stags supporters, with some excellent pictures of the banners being displayed at various away grounds, and also shots of Mr Haslam himself as he faces the supporters pressure to remove him from office.

Whilst being escorted out yesterday, Dan was clearly seen to gesture with his index finger towards the direction of Mr Haslam, with some reports that he was later arrested for this action.

We at StagsMAD have worked closely with Dan before and offer him our full support in whatever action is now coming his way.

This could prove to be a massive own goal by the club given Dan's popularity amongst the Stags faithfull.

Letting it get to court is stupid. I wonder what half the ground will be doing at every match now.
