Catch up with them, then what? Not as if they will ram them off the road or box them in using their toy.
Pointless waste of someone (taxpayers?) money. Helicopter does everything it can do 10 times better.

One or two forces have Imprezas that have been through Prodrive and been 'tweaked'...
Durham had one, and it was nearly full rally spec, could even chase the twocers over fields....

Do you honestly think the Police have a Murci? Can you imagine the hilarity (when it runs) of them trying to exit the vehicle quickly to chase a
decamping motorist?
With the baby Gallardo coming it at £2.5k for the basic service I can't see the police enjoying those running costs.
I'm sure I've seen that plate on a car before too. I'm guessing it's more a publicity stunt as it's on their stand at
MPH 06

You'd just have to keep going long enough it ran out of fuel!
So only steal diesels in future and stick urban....
As for those wondering... ff you read the article it says it's not actually gonna be used.
Oh, and one of the Police Imprezas is used here in Surrey... I've seen it in action. It's plain white.
Cheers,
james

I believe it is all sponsored by Lambo (Audi) UK. Just a gimmick.
IMHO police cars should be just Panda cars and Basic M'way Patrol cars with a clear instruction not to chase (particularly in built up
areas).
Let the choppers do the work then innocent bystanders wont get caught in the cross fire when either the Police or Twonks crash at high speed.

We are looking at different cars methinks, the only numberplate I can see clearly is LJ04 MUW (bottom picture) which is clearly yellow.

Saw the Italian Polizia version on the motorway near Lake Garda in the Spring. It was there to catch the German and Austrian Ferrari, Porker etc.
drivers on their way down to the San Marino GP. It was backed up by two ordinary Polizia cars which presumably issued the tickets to errant drivers
whilst the Lambo picked off more speedsters.
Offically it's for organ transplant delivery having a mini-fridge in the front luggage space - yea right!
Cheers, Pewe.

YEV1L (I think) the silver one is down as
Manufacturer LAMBORGHINI
Model MURCIELAGO
Body type COUPE
Colour BLUE
Fuel type PETROL
Date manufactured 10 May 2002
which also looks right, except maybe the colour (maybe the DVLA should be informed )

North Yorks Police have at least one under cover Scubbi,It likes Skipton to Harrogate Rd
He aint caught me yet but is only a mater of time .
Though dont mind as North Yorks havnt one Gatso Crazzy yet.
I belive the Police car is more of a publicity stunt rather than eveyday plod mobile.

Unmarked silver evo VIII round crawley and the a23 regular enough the sly buggers.
You couldn't pwn your way out of a wet paper bag, with "PWN ME!!" written on it, from the "pwned take-away" which originally contained one
portion of chicken tikka pwnsala and the obligatory free pwnpadom.
