Big helmet, anyone?
Ordered an XL omp helmet (the cheapest full face one) the other day, in the belief that my head wa somewhere between L and XL.
However, true to form, my head would appear to be XXL.
Anyone know where I can get a big, reasonably priced (sub £100) un-garish helmet?

You could try cutting a water butt in half and strapping that to your war effort!

Nah, you need a fire bucket - its got a built in chin strap!
I always have to get the biggest size (usually 63 I think) and its usually too tight until I wear it in.
Cheers,
Raz

I have a 59 / 7-1/4" head, and needed an XXL. A Large should have been OK.
Also try several different makes. Some were just uncomfortable, or pressed on the top of the forehead.
Got mine at the BMF do at Peterborough. New, and not a reject / second etc, for £30.
Also got nice leather gloves for a fiver, and a Good wind / waterproof biker jacket for £40 instead of over £100.
Well worth a visit with a wad of cash in your hand.
However, you will now have to wait until next year

You really must try a helmet on to have any clue as to whether it actually fits. They are all different shapes, so size alone is not enough
information.

Yes, but size doesn't matter: it's just to put in the back window of the tintop
