Sorry about the bad picture but as you CAN see its a small item, hence the pencil for scale.
Any ideas what this sharp metal clip type thing is?
I have a small packet of them, there is a SLIM possibility they are something to do with shoe making, as our old neighbour used to be in that trade,
but equally they could be something car or bikeish i've picked up over the years?
Answers on a postcard........

looks more like the clippy bit off a ballpoint pen to me

No not spire clips, no hint of anywhere to screw into.
The pointy arrowhead bit is very sharp and the whole thing hard/spring steel............
