cool, I've never had meccano, you might need quite a bit of airspeed to get it to fly though...just fit a car starter motor

Fame is when your old car is plastered all over the internet

Nice

Meccano never caught me as a child, but Lego caught me fair and square (still has me now). My mum kept my childhood lego and gave it to my kids, who were equally caught by Lego. Lego Technic did it for me big time!

I was Lego all the way……until an aunt picked up some Meccano at a jumble sale! I was just really getting into it when the rubber keyed wonder of the zx spectrum burst into my life!

Ironically I was bought a ‘the spectrum’ reproduction a few weeks ago!

Nice F1 car! and yes I was 90% Lego as a kid (10% meccano), I had the original technical lego stuff, car chassis, crane and quite a few others. ZX Spectrum 48K too, with games like manic miner, jetpack willie, ant attack! all loaded via a cassette tape. Those were the days....

wow never thought I'd see the Spectrum brought back to life, that's a cool Christmas gift. I remember some of the basic programming:

10 PRINT "my name"
20 GOTO 10

Then watched as the screen magically filled with my name.
