bobbies on bikes

just saw this on my way to supermarket this morning, and it made me laugh.
can just imaging them booking you for speeding, or them pedalling like hell trying to chase you - haha.
could you really take them seriously, i dont know if i could in their little helmets.
and, wheres the siren??
thay have small panniers on the back too wonder what they keep in them ?
the bikes have 'avon and somerset police' on them in big letters - one of them would be the best ever beer trophy!!

first, were getting police in kit cars , now police on bikes - what next??

made me chuckle anyway.

You don't want to tangle with the pushbike bobbies in the City of London, I assure you!

We're talking about super-fit lads & lasses fresh out of training school, who hunt around for bike couriers breaking traffic laws. I've also seen them chase and pull over a motorbike (in heavy traffic, admittedly), pull over cars, etc.

Imaging "road warriers" with a badge...

LOL...

One of our club members got a citation from a bicycle cop on a club outing -- Neil's not familiar with the local streets so he "coasted" through a yellowish-red signal so he wouldn't loose sight of those at the front of the line and was run down by the mad cyclist two blocks later.

He he he...

Even though he managed to talk his way out of the ticket it's still hysterical.

Cheers, Ted
