Any plumber types in the house - tap issues
I have an issue with one of my kitchen taps.
As you can see in the attached photo, the threads on the bottom of the tap 'spindle' have broken off meaning that the tap can not wind the
washer down fully home on the seat meaning it is constantly dripping.
Am I likely to be able to find a replacement spindel of is it likely to be a replacement tap? or could I buy the top assemble as you see it here? Its
a mixer tap so I hooe I don't have to buy the WHOLE tap!
Cheers
Col

If it is a mixer tap with seperate hot and cold tap heads then you can usually replace them with a pair of new standard tap inserts. Go for something
lie a pair
The chances are they are 1/2 inch inserts (same as hand basins) so you could go for a pair of these: BRISTAN BASIN TAP REPAIR
HEAD - CHROME TRADITIONAL HEAD - REVIVER - SINK MIXER | eBay
or if they are 3/4 inch (think bath tap sized parts) bristan traditional tap reviver 3/4"' | eBay
These links are for Bristan ones but you can get cheaper tap reviver sets that look good and work perfectly well for less money from places like
Screwfix.
