bike carbs loose

Hi, has anyone had same problem as I have in that the bike carbs work loose on the rubber hoses. I used silicon hose but I think a better solution must be out there. I am thinking of making short alloy sleeves to go over the carb bodies an hold with grub screws. This will give more purchase on carbs. Any usefull suggestions welcomed.

hi, i use the orginal bike rubbers, and got my manifold ends on a lathe and cut a tappered grove out so it is a nice tight fit, and they do not move.

i found with mine i used thinner hose clips
that stopped them slipping off the manifold.

also using rubber not silicone pipe was better.

I did the same as Stuart_B (pattern 3 - used to test the machining setup) with the original bike's rubber tubes.

I used some ally angle from b+q and for the struts, chopped up some threaded bar and heat shrink wrapped the threads to look a bit better.

Hi, thanks for all the replys, I think using the original rubbers from the bike and apair of metal braces may be the best solution, many thanks.
