Vulcan
Was the Vulcan flying on Sunday? I thought I saw it in the afternoon, Bedfordshire possibly from Duxford but it? was low and I could only see a side
view. Very noisy and looked as though the choke was still on

Yes, I also saw it Sunday at the Sanicole airshow in Belgium. Impressive piece of aircraft if you keep in mind it was built around 1950 ! At the
airshow it was flying together with some F-16's which looked very small compared to the Vulcan. This one is the only flying Vulcan in the world.
It took 10 million € to restore is and the annual running cost is 2 million €.

Even more impressive when you realise that the previous aircraft made on the same production line was the Lancaster!
They stopped producing the Lanc, then started with the Vulcan!

I'm no spotter, but you have to admit, that is one hell of a machine!
Cracking photos BTW.
It looks like the Midget is winning at the moment......
