Typo, should that not read "1.9"
UNDERSTEER is when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
OVERSTEER is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
HORSEPOWER is how fast you hit the wall.
TORQUE is how far you take the wall with you.

Nah, the 1.6 was revvier and altogether more in the spirit of things. The 1.9s had/have a lazier feel which is less exciting in a car thats main
selling point is it corners like its on rails. (I have a 1.9 btw, so I have nothing inherently against them, but I had to pick one as a "modern
classic".
I'd like to add the renault 5 turbo to my list .

I watched a program a few years ago where a guy had a whole warehouse full of totally ordinary cars, the everyday ones that everyone had owned, all
mint and at just delivery mileage. You name it, it was there, totally brilliant investment for little initial outlay. Wish I’d done the same. I’m
never selling a car again

I'm going to stick my neck out with the Suzuki Cappuccino. Unusual, interesting, quite good looking and rare. Quite quick for a production
car with excellent handling and these days a cult following. All the right ingredients to be a modern classic.

Audi Quattro (the proper one ) is the ultimate.
But for different reasons:
- Astra GTE 16v
- Sierra Cosworth (in RS500 guise, please!)
Original RS turbo though? Zzzzzzz... Sorry, nodded off there!

MK 3 Escort van (fun x10)
Quattro, or an RS 500 wale tail or perhaps an Integrale, maybe an Impreza, but then again how about a 6R4.
But, an Esprit would be good, or an RS200 if I hads a few bucks.
Nope, final answer Series 1 RS Turbo
