Took the car to a mates garage, helped change oil and filter on another mates car, never got round to checkin the re pack on his exhaust.

Put my car on ramp, removed grass and mud from sump nut so i can replace it in dads drive at a later date.

Removed drivers side wheel to check rear pads, couldn't get cover off without bending bits so have left it till i have new shoes.
Put Pressure bleeder on MC, bled drum, went to nearside wheel, drum fell off, pads are coated in in dot 4, cylinder has popped. Phone autoquip, only have pants brand parts. Drive to halfords, quote shoes as FBS176, halfords shoes start @ 188 so none in stock and no cylinder either.
Phone autoquip order pants parts to get it working, catch last van, wrong parts arrive (Bits for an estate... poo!)

Put it all back together, lift it to check the car over (Even tho the rears are going to be pants) Realise the MC is leaking and needs to be replaced too!

Getting better Wooo!

Get home, find parts and prices ok, MC is £105.... WHY? Why cant it be the £35 one?

Went to see the Missus and played on the Wii

Fitted:
Battery terminal covers.
Clamp for the choke cable.
Top ball joint covers.

Tried to pickup a 1/4 inch spanner for the wilwood bleed nipples (without any luck).

Removed the nosecone and tried to think about a quick solution for the steering rack limit stops.

Finished of my aeroscreen see picture, then spent ages sanding down my seat bases again after the paint reacted all in primer again now ready for another attempt at top coat

(doofus) came round with his fuel tank and fabricated swirl pot for me to weld up for him
coffee bit of a chat bit of welding another coffee bit more welding and so on till job done!

Another mate came round with a cable i needed to re flash my cable box after N*L decided it would be a good idea to make it more difficult to get free cable TV , my box is now up and running so ended up doing my mates as well

Tomorrow gloss on the seats and wire up the rear of my car, its starting to look like i may make stoneleigh after all.

I took the throttle bodys off my car and remade the linkage so as i could balance them properly, it seems much better now as before hand it was always going out of balance and no 1 cylinder would never match the other 3.Didnt get a proper test drive as it started raining just as i finished the job so hope to try it out tommorow,
Paul.

Ha! You have it all to come soon!
If I were you I wouldn't be spending any more on that car and save my money for nappies and baby grows!
They pee like racehorses! If you are lucky and put the nappy on right they wait until you take it off and then soak everthing in sight!

Anyway..
You can pick parts off mine when it floats by you in the river soon if it keeps p1ssing me off!

Day for myself out of the garage and down to Detling for the kit car show. Wasnt as good as Donnington but weather was the usual sun-shower-sun so kit car turn out was low but got some good deals to finish the car off. Then came home to find my sisters annoyed as her brakes arent working. Only another french wheel cylinder peeing brake fluid out so that had to be sorted.

Working. Again. Apparently I have a day off coming up a week on wednesday...

I don't think I have actually laid a spanner on the Indy in 2008, what with all the wedding/honeymoon, work being bonkers at the mo, and now selling the house

Went to see LocoR1 (Dave) with a tank and a folded sheet of ally and came home with a sooper new swirl potted fuel tank (see above).

Tried to wipe the smile off my face

Didn't work

Went to see if my suspension was painted (painter told me they wouldn't be last week) and they were all done so I can get the car on its wheels now

Tried to wipe another smile off my face

Failed again

Went for a great curry with friends.

Thanks Dave for letting me stop you getting on with your car and welding my tank.

Paul.
