so a turbocharged 1000cc bec is okay then!!
I think any old car under 1300cc, or new car under 50hp is a liability as there is not enough power to join junctions safely (as you need very good
judgement - something you don`t have as a young driver).
Darren
Both cars I've owned since I passed my test have been under 1300cc and old
First a 1979 MkI Fiesta (730kg with a 1117cc xflow/ valencia = 52bhp)
and now a 1992 Pug 106 (760kg with a954cc carb'd TU9 = 45ps)
both cars are easily capable of pulling out from a junction if you give them a bit of your right foot
but that said, I can see how you might have a problem in a 1300cc sierra
btw - I'm only just 25 now (so its not like they were new cars when I got them)

I had one of these
1979 MkI Fiesta (730kg with a 1117cc xflow/ valencia = 52bhp)
Once went flying down a hill over taking about 5 cars in one go and then all of a sudden the car felt like it was going to flip over! when I looked
over at the speedo it was off the gauge!!!!
Fame is when your old car is plastered all over the internet

yes I was a mad loon when I first got my licence, a very good example of someone who should have not been on the road.

There are good and bad in all walks of life,
and it's the same with drivers, young or old.
There is no point in introducing new laws when the police haven't the manpower to enforce them.
They don't enforce the laws we have already so what's the point of new ones?
I see twats on the road every day of the week, young / old, male / female, but do I ever see a copper? No.
Don't persecute all because of the few, and bobbies on the beat is the only way.
We can afford wars, and the Olympics, but can't afford hospitals and police.
Sorry, rant over.

Well I only know the gauge goes to 95 because I had mine well passed there a couple of times ! (not on the road of course officer)
not bad for a 23 year old car with 4 gears and a top speed of 89 (according to the book)
