I've done the print screen, saved it in paint form, so how do I attach the image to the post? The attachment thing doesn't seem to work!

Cheers,

Andy.

Click on:' Photo Archive' at the top of the page then on your name and you should be able to upload it to your archive.

Then open it and right click it and 'Copy' it's location.

Then, in the post reply click on the yellow icon to the right of the 'Outlook express (?)' icon and paste your location into the box that pops up.

That's how I did it....there's probably an easier way!!!

You've saved it as a bitmap, which LB doesn't like. When you click save you have to save it as a jpeg or gif file.

It's all very complicated but can be useful.

Similar type of car to a mallock. As you have probably guessed its called an IJAL, after the people who designed, built and raced it (Ian Johnson and Alan Lancaster) one of whom is my father.

The Mk1 version was circuit raced for about 5 years in the 750MC F1300 championship until a nasty prang at copse, Silverstone in 95. Then the MK2, the desktop picture, was finished mid 98 and raced until the 2000 when F1300 died. Then 2002 doing classic clubmans and sold in 2003.

(my 100th post!)

Thats the idea yeah, but dad and I are still having lengthy discusions about what we want to build. I'd like a BEC but he's a little anti BEC for some reason... I quite like the idea of putting a bike engine in the back of another IJAL. Considering that with a full race crossflow it only weighed 370Kg, I think it would work quite well, especially as a hillclimb car!

Remember that Mallock used to produce a front-engined, RWD 2-seater, space-framed sports racer. It was known as a U2 (as in "U2 can have a car like this" ).
Since it had a layout very similar to the Chapman 6/7 design, it could have been a source of inspiration for El Ron. Maybe?

Anybody got any pics of an old U2? (The Mallock, not the Gary Powers craft).

Work-in-Progress: Changed to Zetec + T9. Still trying!!

Mallock U2

I've come across a lot of mallocks over the years but never a U2. It looks like a very early mallock. Here is a link to a site Ihave just found:
