Define vulgar Steve - in your own time!
PS I quite like the Rolls Royce too!

I think it's part of the job description that a Rolls or a Bentley be big, brutish and unsubtle. Just look a their heritage and the massive
upright beasts they used to make in their prime.
If the Continental GT looked like a Ferrari 575 say, it'd just be a bit wrong I think. The 575 is a much prettier and more well proportioned car
(612 less so) but they Bentley looks like a Bentley and I see far more of them being driven day to day which I think is a good thing
As for the Zonda I can agree that the cab-forward layout it not quite on the button but it fits with the jet fighter styling theme and it looks like
an F14 from the side. It's a mighty car and I have deep respect for any autofit that can turn something like that out, even if it does cost
£330k.
New Ferrari 430 is ugly. Too much bonnet and the lights are too small. The front scoops don't seem to relate to any other styling cue either.

God I hated that - most other folks seemd to like it tho'.
Beauty (and ugliness) is, I guess, in the eye of the beholder!
And in my eye, as the beholder of a Fiat Coupe it is anything but ugly. I got it because I always loved the looks. But sitting in it is just as good
and it goes very nicely too.
Also love the Pagini Zonda but haven't seen one for real yet, and may be a while before I can afford one.
Any current BMW takes some beating in the ugliness league.

i like the fiat too, if insurance wasn't so high and the engine wasn't as (reputedly) fragile, i would def buy one. saw the rolls on 5th
gear, definitely an ugly car, so brash, and the lights are way too small. bentley is a much more pleasing shape. talking of brash, anyone seen the
interior of the spyker (which looks like a daihatsu copen) agree with pagini thing, awful looking, completely wrong. veyron? bugatti eb whatever it
was called? maclaren slr? so many bad looking supercars - making them different just to be different, ending up ugly. & no, it's not
'personality' (bmw...)
there is hope tho - there is at least 1 great looking supercar...
if you don't fail, you aren't trying hard enough.

The engines are pretty strong, loads with over 100k miles, but can give problems whenthe boost is turned up - and there are lots around running up to
300bhp apparently.
Where is the picture of the great looking supercar then. You seem to have posted one of the Maserati Enzo

Nah it *costs* £20k to change the cam belt
I just got it changed on my Puma for the reasonable sum of £200. I've heard stories for the Fiat of it costing towards £1000 if not more.
After some thought I think this is the nicest looking of the current crop of insanely expensive cars.

Mackie - I agree that the Porsche is probably the best looking of the recent supercars, but also like the brutality of the Mclaren Merc.
The Fiat Coupe 20valve and turbo engine needs a cam belt change every 6 years or 72k miles according to Fiat, although an earlier change is generally
recommended as failure does destroy the engine. A Fiat dealer would charge £1400 as they reckon it is an engine out job, but there are many
specialists who charge from £400 including replacing the water pump, and all auxiliary belts.

£400 doesn't sound too bad at all. still going to take a bit of persuading to get my sights off my intended next car - 944.

Seem to have hijacked this thread a bit but....
The 944 is a good car, but the 20vt Fiat Coupe is quicker in a straight line than all bar the 944 turbo, and probably cheaper to run. My Brother had a
944S2 until recently, and has just changed it for a 968, presumably as it has more power than my car
Both make a good choice though, I went for the Fiat as they are newer which seemed a good idea considering the mileage I do - 16k in the 8 months I
have had the Fiat.

ah dammit, thought i had my mind made up on the 944! ideally i would wait until i could afford the 944 S2 or turbo, but at the moment i'm
looking at the significantly cheaper 2.5 lux... gotta try and keep on the porsche side of the fence or i'll get confused - the 944 is meant to
handle real sweet, even if it's not so quick, i am not really interested in beating people away at the lights. anyway, it will be faster than
the cinq!
... u don't get leather in the coupe do you?

The handling of the Porsche is almost certainly better than the Coupe - the rwd helps and all that, but not sure if the ultimate roadholding is
better. The Fiat is probably not so good off the line if you want the clutch and tyres to last a reasonable time, but once it hits 3000rpm it flies
and most things seem to disappear backwards! Fun against the boy racers
My coupe has leather and aircon, the latter being very rare in the Porsche, but the majority of 20valve turbo coupes have them both.

mmmmm i really want leather and aircon, i have yet to find a 944 anywhere near my price range that has both, it's difficult enough to find a 944
that has either!
just done a bit of research - i can get a 944 s2 or a turbo for the price of a coupe (and i can't afford a s2 or a turbo). plus the insurance is
higher for the fiat!
sticking with the porka
