GET THIS CR*P OFF!!!

flyingkiwi - 14/1/04 at 09:05 PM

hey I did warn ya! must admit though, tis rather sick=

TheGecko - 20/1/04 at 06:51 AM

How is that in any way amusing or enlightening or anything?

That poor bastard is someone's son and maybe husband or father or brother. If you were killed in an accident, would you like someone to say to your Mum or wife "Hey, saw those photos of Kiwi squashed dead on the motorway - they're hilarious aren't they?"

What the f*ck is wrong with people? Please delete at least the images or the whole thread out of respect for the dead guy and his family if nothing else.

Dominic - horrified at the casual callousness of some people

stephen_gusterson - 20/1/04 at 01:41 PM

Im not convinced that isnt fake.

1. the first pic could have the truck lowered on him by a jack and not acutually be exerting much pressure.

2. If you ran over soemone with a truck, would you leave it there or drive it off......and take time to make a piccky and draw round him too.

3. graphics packages can morph parts of images - he might not be crushed at all.

4. Id expect a tad more blood - especially from the mouth.

5, thats a weird way to lay after being run over........

6. the coke can......really........even has the garnish of his flattened coke can......

I think its fake.

steve

5. thats a weird

200mph - 20/1/04 at 01:45 PM

In the last pic on the right hand side there is a latex-gloved hand.. i.e paramedic/coroner etc.

Think its real.

Tatoos look like he is a gang-member?
Just a thought

Mark

Alan B - 20/1/04 at 01:47 PM

Agreed Steve.....especially point 2.....doesn't make sense at all..

Any pictures would surely show a frantic rescue crew, not "Ok, he's dead, so let's draw round him and photograph it"....also isn't drawing round bodies more of a crime scene thing rather than an accident....

I'm with Steve here......FAKE

JoelP - 20/1/04 at 02:33 PM

certainly hope so, cos its made me feel ill a few times...

maybe a link next time rather than pics? people have moaned in the past about swearing in case kids log on.

blueshift - 20/1/04 at 02:46 PM

I have no problem with posts like this in the "anything else" section. Preferable to some of the outrageous chauvanism and queer-bashing I see a lot more often that nobody else seems to mind.

I vaguely remember that an "18" tattoo on the neck like that marks a member of Combat 18, in which case the truck did us all a favour.

stephen_gusterson - 20/1/04 at 03:03 PM

I have a box of 100 latex gloves in the garage that I use when doing GRP stuff...... not conclusive methinks.

for me, its the coke can that blows it....overkill

200mph - 20/1/04 at 03:05 PM

yeah but theres also what loooks like money, maybe a dollar note etc scrunched up on the can.

Why?

stephen_gusterson - 20/1/04 at 04:53 PM

would you not have expected that to have fallen off when the ruck backed off? Its embellishment methinks

steve

200mph - 20/1/04 at 05:34 PM

yeah I see your point.

Maybe he was on witness protection, cos he was gonna rat on other gang members. To make it believable, the cops made this sketch up

Thats gotta be it??

i know 2 school teachers, one is always stoned, the other loves pills and raves! shining examples im sure...

both ladies as well. if that makes any difference?

sgraber - 21/1/04 at 01:47 AM

It's definitely fake.

Anything that gets crushed or squeezed by that type of pressure would have ... um... moved somewhere else in the picture. There does not appear to be any evidence of the "relocation" of internal organs to someplace the truck tire was not.

As an example, step on an orange. Stuff splatters everywhere...

stephen_gusterson - 21/1/04 at 10:08 AM

agree

i have seen net pics of people that have jumped from buildings from a great height - its like dropping a baloon of water out a top floor window

also, there was a thread on here once of a crashed ferrari - bits of bodies everywere, with guts on the road. that was real. Id expect to see the same in that pic...

I've got to agree with TheGecko. My kids often sit with me while I'm on the PC and I would prefer not to have to explain why there is a picture like this on a car site! Fake or not, why? In this hobby good idea to get the kids on your side from an early age!

SeaBass - 21/1/04 at 07:07 PM

The topic title kinda gave it away...

Cheers

James - 22/1/04 at 10:03 AM

Does it really matter if kids see it?

Might even teach them to learn their Green Cross Code and not play by the roadside!
