Next generation of wheels is clear and 100% Polycarbonate.

graememk - 5/9/07 at 10:29 PM

herrrrm

means you would have to keep them clean.

i dont like cleaning as anyone will tell you who has seen my indy.

blakep82 - 5/9/07 at 10:34 PM

i reckon they're just for show. would be cool though!

iank - 5/9/07 at 10:38 PM

ooo look, its got an elastic band wrapped around it

Can't believe it's strong enough for the road, especially considering how hot brakes can get.

Cleaning off the brake dust would be a nightmare, wouldn't it?

tegwin - 5/9/07 at 10:46 PM

Would make keeping the brakes cool almost impossible!

RazMan - 6/9/07 at 07:44 AM

Totally impractical imo. Lack of heat transfer and brake dust cleaning come to mind.

Surely just a bit of publicity bling.

martyn_16v - 6/9/07 at 07:57 AM

It'll get scratched to buggery and/or go yellow in no time

speedyxjs - 6/9/07 at 08:02 AM

They are a bit stupid, you would have to take the wheels off in order to clean them

speedyxjs - 6/9/07 at 08:04 AM

Cool bike in the background

welderman - 6/9/07 at 08:24 AM

Most F1 cars have enclosed brakes with forced air cooling ducted from air scoops on the bodywork. This allows the amount of air flowing over the brakes to be regulated so they stay at the optimum operating temperature
