extremely rare. hmmm
what a rip off
Having been out to play with one earlier this year, I have to say they are very nicely finished. However as to whether they are worth the money is a
different question.
The guy seemed a bit pissed off when I looked under his boot and announced "hey it's got a Sierra diff, just like mine!"
Nice carbon bits though!
I guess it's a case where the finished product costs more than the sum of all the individual parts?
Mike
The CSR260 is faster than the Koenigsegg around the top Gear test track apparently, so it's a bargain in comparison.
Worth the money ? - NO
Good fun and well built - HELL YEH!
Worth the money?
Depends - if you want a car that someone else has built (to a very high standard) with many years product development, tried and tested, volumes of
manufacturer technical knowledge, Built from all new parts, Proven to be very quick etc etc then it just might be seen as good value.
If you think that a Locost is the best thing that ever happened to you cos you built it yourself and got it through an SVA and you can burn off most
other things on the road (perhaps not the Caterham above) then you are never going to agree. Fair enough - your values are different.
I for one would love to have the chance of one.....

If you see the demonstrator at one of the shows it makes everything you look at afterwards (especialy other 7s) look a bit amateur....... most aren't obviously (he says quickly ). Yes it's a lot of money and I'm not sure I could ever justify buying one - but it is a class product
Gotta admit - I love 'em... whether it's worth the money or not is all in the opinion of the potential buyer.
I would not pay that personally but I would love to build one to our standards and see how it compares.
Steve
Worth it?
For a car of this kind of preformance - without a doubt.
For a Seven - nope.

If I had the money I'd buy one. Is it worth the money?............. IMO, yes it is.

Why not swap your bike engine for a cosworth 270bhp (maybe even 300 depending on preferences) duratec then
Tis a very nice car and you can not deny the build quality ... I do not think that i could ever part that money for it though. Unless i had money to burn which i guess the people that buy them have got Nice to have something to aim for though quality wise .... Love the dash on it nice color also,

Worth the money, depends on how deep your pockets are
How many of us would buy one if we hit it big on the lottery, i know i would
Not worth the premium over this, my friend Chris has just traded this for an Elise, this beasty is the muts danglies.
R500 EVO
It's a lot of money, and I don't doubt if I had pots of cash lying around, it'd probably be quite high on the "need to get"
list.
As it happens, I don't and given Deimos cost £3 grand to build (incl tax/sva etc etc), is it 10 times better. Probably not.
