James Bond Style!
The propulsion system consists of three gas turbines generating 16,800 HP, driving water jets - two steerable outboard and a non-steering on centreline. For manoeuvring and long deliveries, the steerable water jets are powered by two diesel engines of 370 HP each
I want to be here
95 tonnes moving at 80mph just blows my mind...
Better than this one
Rescued attachment titanic.jpg
wasn't that boat in street fighter
I'm probably wrong but i think 70 knots is 112 mph, god knows how i came up with this.
I just seem to remember being in a boat called a Donzi black widow and asking how fast it would go,the owner saod 50 knots which he said was 80
mph.
The boat had 2 x 330 HP OMC V8 engines and it made a lot of noise.
A knot is 1.150779.
Therefor 70 knots is 80.55453mph
That boat is seriously ugly, though I suspect it's the pictures not doing it justice. Looks like it's made of ply!

and at 60 knots (69mph) it uses 11 gallons of fuel per mile (well it does have 17000bhp)
a mere £45 per minute!

can you run a gas turbine on diesel?! Or even petrol for that matter?
suppose you must or it would have to have two seperate tanks...

Most run on kerosene which I guess is a variation on the diesel theme.
If you ever win the lottery, don't buy a big boat with a petrol motor in it
