Now, I know this might not be to everyones taste and I'm prepared for the many less than congratulatory type comments I'm sure to get, but
as my Locost is on a longboat to being started never mind finished, I felt I had to do something. So, I sold the missus' Vectra and bought one of
these at auction in Japan. Should get it in a couple of weeks. What'dya think?

She's a Mazda Eunos Roadster, 1995, 1.8 S Spec. 68000 miles. RWD for LOTS of fun.
great car... my opinion? drive it for a bit, have fun, then use it as a donor
what the F**K were you doing in japan, long way to go to buy a car if you ask me, have you heard of ebay
looks like a tidy motor tho, have fun in it
The Mazda MX5 is a very good thing indeed. I like to think of it as a Lotus Elan that you can drive home as well as out.
I would still have one myself.
Beings as the Eunos is on a longboat now, as well as the locost,
Have you found it cost effective to buy one over there and ship it and pay tax or whatever you have to do, rather than buying one closer to home?
My mums got one almost identical to that from Japan - very nice car.
It is a hairdressers car though....

Great car. I had one last year and it was great to drive and felt good. Handles like a go cart but not as good as a 7. Super reliable and loads of
bit's you can buy for it to mod it.
Great forum at http://www.mx5ocforum.co.uk/

1995 1.8 Roadster S Special. PS AW EW AC 68000 miles. Will cost me €4000 approx before VRT which converts to about £2500 STG for you guys. Thats vat
and customs duty included.
Greg.
Bought a Eunos last year, great car, had some fun moments in it, the general consensus is they are bullet proof, unless you let your spanish
girlfriend break it in, in which case you end up pulling the engine apart the first weekend you have it.
Seriously though, great car, Just make sure you put good tires on it, Toyo T1s, or Good year Eagle F1 gsd2s are the recommended rubber, a lot of jap
imports come with tyres which are hard as nails, makes them a little slippy in the wet.
Other than that, happy driving, the 5 is a great drive, I've done nearly 18k in mine over the last year, and for a 14 year old car costing under
2k, it was a bargain.
Whilst I remember, you probably want to set your timing to 14 degrees, have a read on mx5ocforum its pretty much the place for random information.
Cheers
