oooooh yummy!

NS Dev - 15/3/06 at 03:27 PM

yea but a tad pricey I would say!

We use em everywhere in our factory as normal ones last 2 days with the metal dust in the mill!

As soon as the words "industrial" and "computer" combine in the same sentence though the price gets multiplied by 10!!!

nick205 - 15/3/06 at 03:39 PM

They're not cheap (I designed them and now sell them), but in their intended use for public access kiosks where a service call out can cost a lot of money they often work out cheaper

I think I would have a problem typing on just the tabletop... I like to feel the "click" of keys. just my 2cents

Quote from reviews:

"It's simply brilliant! A few days before I bought it I saw an experiment where it was projected on a wall and they kicked a footall at it, this made me want one."

What type of Roger Irrelevant statement is that!!??

The best key board for PCs running windows only need 3 buttons.

'Ctrl' 'Alt' and 'Delete'

IainB - 15/3/06 at 09:26 PM

I think this is a genuine candidate for funkiest keyboard, every key is a small colour LCD screen so all the keys are fully programmable to show whatever you like. Must be absolutely great for games or complex applications that have loads of keyboard shortcuts, as soon as you run the app or game, the keyboard changes to suit

Optimus Keyboard

looked at this in some detail a while back. It's a fine idea, but long way off production yet. Also no real indication of cost has been forthcoming - "should cost less than a good mobile phone" - expensive then

ChrisGamlin - 16/3/06 at 01:20 PM

Yep, its undoubtedly going to be expensive when it comes out (late this year according to the website) but as with everything it will eventually become affordable as a mainstream item.
