Hi,

Does any one have an info on the Carlton Commando Kitcar built from 1984 - 1992. I'am look for Build Manuals, Information from the Owners Club ( Newsletters ),Magazine Articles ect. I will also be grateful for any general information from anyone who has built or owned one.

Yes it is Cortina MK 4 / 5 with a Rover V8 3.5

Yep JJG,cortina for sure.

Does look like a Dutton Sierra though doesnt it,is it one of Tim Duttons creations ?

Abloke round the corner from me had one up to two years ago. It was like a P100 pickup in fibreglass. He bought it, didn't build it himself and he used it regularly as a lugger for towing etc. It was Cortina based like the early P100 and was still registered as a Cortina so someone had not gone the legal route or was it classed as a rebody and exempt from SVA.
