Someone asked on another thread how we'd all ID each other at shows, etc. How about some Locostbuilders stickers...?
Maybe ChrisW can look into it? (a nice wee earner!)
I'd gladly have a large one down the each side of the bonnet.
If Chris get a nice logo that will look good all on one line!
Pat...
T shirts too
"My other car's a Locost...."
locost builders do it for themselves ?
Locost builders appreciate a well built chassis
Its probably better to wait for the name change first. But yeah, stickers and t-shirts are a good idea.
"I built mine for £250 pounds ....."
"qualified car designer, welder, problem solver, accountant, mechanic, fabricator ...... Locost builder!"
"it goes, it stops, it corners, it cost 250 pounds"
"the wife thinks it costs £250 pounds, the art of locost building."
"built it,
drove it,
raced it,
crashed it,
built it again,
raced it,
drove it,
crashed it again
some locosters don't know when to stop"
"locost builders - because sometimes easiest isn't best."
"5.3 degrees camber - my arse"
"FU1 & 2 - only Locostbuilders would understand"
"Its not a Caterham, Westfield, Dax, Robin Hood, Dutton, Its mine. Locostbuilders"
fun day in the office before anyone asks.
No, its not a caterham, its a locost!
you spent how much on your 7 - locost builders do it on the cheap
my personal favourite, though not my suggestion (has been posted before somewhere):
"£250 - yeah right!"
"built not bought!"
"Locosters do it in the garage"
"If you can catch me you can ask me"
"No overtaking"
i know i'm sad but i do like those that have a certain something about them that only a locostbuilder would understand.
"£250 - yeah right!" has a certain charm along with "built not bought"

chrisg - 6/9/05 at 05:23 PMSurely the Locost way would be to make your own sticker - for less than £2.50
I like "£250 - yeah, right" too or just the web address.
Cheers
Chris

dave1888 - 6/9/05 at 07:56 PMLengths of 1" steel tube - £65
Rusting tired donor vehicle - £100

Our Land Rover Mailing list usually wear a CD ( a ref to Computers and the internet). The biggest Laugh was so many people asking why I had a CD (small one) tucked in the band on my Hat and one on a bootlace around my neck!...
The Wind ups I managed that day were priceless. We had all agreed to keep it quiet, so the idea didnt get copied.
Still Its a valid point, as we can talk to oe even pass each other at a show and not even know it..
Even worse you could miss meeting someone in the bar and havng that all important social drinky.
Something simple and Cheap.
PS... Love most of the ideas above!..
However... "Locosters do it themselves"... Could make you look a bit of a wa*ker!!
PPS.... Do I qualify for a Sticker / Badge... Or am I relelgated to being a pussy (Luego Viento kit)

Avoneer - 6/9/05 at 10:09 PMI like these two best:
"5.3 degrees camber - my arse"
"FU1 & 2 - only Locostbuilders would understand"

Just being in a Locost makes most people look like a w4nker!
ayoungman - 8/9/05 at 09:04 AMi like the idea about wearing a CD or something so that we can identify forum users. Would be interesting to try it out at Brands Hatch next week.
tadltd - 8/9/05 at 11:46 AM"I like my cars like my women... fast, fun and Locost!"
MikeR - 8/9/05 at 06:11 PMnice one, i like it!
not very geeky - not sure if thats good or bad!
Alez - 12/9/05 at 06:56 AMI already have a white vinyl transfer on the rear of the Locost (black), says "locostbuilders.co.uk"
