been playing with google earth for a while now - great program !
but how long has it had 3d buildings ????
NY and Houston to name 2
dont remember seeing these before

its always had them i believe, you just have to have the right check box ticked!

note, i said "i believe"........ i can't guarentee it, its just that its always been there on my version

how do you mean 3d buildings? is that like an outline mode? i saw that bit...

The pyramids are funny cos the view isnt from straight overhead (unless they are well wonky, i guess!)

proper 3d buildings - but they are white - ie without a bitmap.

Its amazing what you can see. If you try using Microsofts version they seem to have missed out area 51 and oracles head quarters!

The high res shots of london are fantastic. Just wish they had that quality at mine and my parents.

Oracle ......... sort of tried to take on Microsoft with the network computer concept a few years ago, championed java and are the biggest database supplier in the world.

Its not helped by the ego's that run both companies don't appear to get on.
