chriscook - 2/6/05 at 08:45 PM

jambojeef - 2/6/05 at 08:52 PM

Looks like Indy IRS but its got the trailing arm mounts.....?

Im confused - it happens very easily...

So go on then - what is it?

pbura - 2/6/05 at 08:52 PM

Pre-lit Westie with an Indy rear end?

Cita - 2/6/05 at 08:55 PM

Rover 75?

Danozeman - 2/6/05 at 08:56 PM

Im for westy with different rear welded on..

zilspeed - 2/6/05 at 08:56 PM

Ok - I'll bite.

Original Westfield 7Se - the pre lit job with the round trans tunnel. Originally live axle with ford type 9. Currently undergoing an IRS conversion.
You can still see the 4 link brackets.

How badly wrong am I ?

colibriman - 2/6/05 at 09:17 PM

certainly looks Indy rear....but round sides and tunnel makes me think cateringvan..........

edit : oh...and those bollards and kerbing look like outside MK's place...

Its one of the demo cars used at kitcar shows with Castrol livery

Its rear axle blew up so it got a grafted rear put on.

All I was going to say was:

"It's the one outside MK Sportscars at the moment"

Kissy - 3/6/05 at 06:17 AM

Early Dax?

carnut - 3/6/05 at 06:53 AM

Its definately a caterham with an indy rear end. Looking at it, I would also say the Caterham was a live axle one originally.

Jeffers_S13 - 3/6/05 at 09:29 AM

It looks very much like a, now modified to IRS, originally live axle Rush, I should know note the lack of propshaft cage/framework and the side panels are rolled over into the cockpit area, that also looks like a DAX can, BUT having said all this the rollover hoop isnt integral to the chassis (mine is) and the other thing that looks a bit different is the location of the fuel tank filler, they are normally on the passenger side. So now Im not sure...

carnut - 3/6/05 at 02:42 PM

I presumed that everything back from just forward of the seat panel was new including the stays that go up to the rear panel frame. If these stays are not new then I am wrong about it being a caterham because on a caterham these are curvedtube and the pic shows straight pieces.

You can stop guessing now. See posts above - its identity was revealed this morning.

Even I knew it was something to do with MK....

I recognised the background too...
