I use a drawing program to mess around with stuff or a photo editing one for pictures. They will both export as animated .gif files. Are you specifying to save them as .gif or just clicking save as.Try saving this and click to specify save as .gif Rescued attachment avi1.gif

Peteff,

Right Click and Save as,

When chosing the location i want to save it to and file name i clicked the drop down arrow for file type and my only option was bitmap.

Try the microsoft site for a cure.
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;810978&Product=ie600
Or download firefox and use it to get pictures with their resident file type.

Normally gif's animate when viewed in a browser or other designated software - so no problem there.

I use gif animator to edit pictures - should I choose to animate them.

Just try it...

Mine was done using Corel Draw, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Image Ready. There's a tutorial here that explains how it's done.

I've also did Snoopy's and MacSpeedy's avatars.
