The best shop in the world... ever!
scoobyis2cool - 7/12/04 at 08:52 PM

Look at what me and my housemates just got - that'll teach Sainbury's for putting beer on special offer.

16 crates
320 cans
£108.80 (after my mate's discount)

That's 248 pints for £108.80, or 44p per pint

I won't have anyone say that students waste their money...

Cheers

Pete

Volvorsport - 7/12/04 at 09:39 PM

mmm , jupiler , by the 5 litre keg , chilled and drunk on a hot summers day

Cita - 7/12/04 at 09:43 PM

I used to drink Jupiler... not only on a hot summers day.
Sadly it gives you only one day of "joy" where Stella gives you 2.....a massive headache the next day which can be cured by...a few other Stella's

wilkingj - 7/12/04 at 10:04 PM

Huh!
Typical Students!... Buy it cheap and think they have a bargain... Carling!... Its PizzVasser. 10 tins, is about as intoxicating as sniffing a barmaids apron!

Someone else said ALE... Christ Man... thats Lag*r (I cant bring mysellf to speak the word or even spell it in full!)

Oh well.... the folly of modern youth!.. They will eventually learn.

If you want to try some decent Lag*r... Try Carlsberg Special Brew. On a pint of pint basis against a flatmate drinking your tinned PizzVasser. (Tip:- You drink the tinned stuff, and put him on the Special Brew).

JoelP - 7/12/04 at 10:20 PM

phelpsa - 7/12/04 at 10:37 PM

stephen_gusterson - 7/12/04 at 10:58 PM

if you had bought the tesco value lager at 88p for a pack of four, you would have halved your bill

and alcohol intake

and enjoyment

I know Carling isn't all that great but it was cheap am I'm gonna enjoy drinking it. I'm not a huge fan of lager anyway, they all taste the same to me so it doesn't really matter! If all else fails we'll just have a house party and get rid of it all (or better still sell it at £1 a pint- always thinking )

believe me, it does... thats what i end up drinking when im driving home!

James - 8/12/04 at 09:48 AM

Clearly I'm still of the student mentality as seeing that I just think:

Cool!
Followed by "Couldn't you have squeezed a couple more in so that the pile hit the ceiling!"

Phelpsa,
Give it a year or two....

No more cheap dates huh? Too bad
Good old days, six cider and babychams, and they are anybody's. At least the ones I hung out with.
Actually, talking about s**te drinks, is it still considered cool to drink cans of Bud in the UK?

12 years ago I thought it was!
Lol!

Can't go wrong with a nice pint of wife beater if you ask me!
And if it's a big night... followed shortly by several Vodka RedBulls!

indykid - 10/12/04 at 01:25 PM

i prefer the ale myself. wetherspoons used to do one called Old Tom, about 8.5%

its a bit strong to taste so good, but a couple definitely gets the night started. then onto the birthday spirit and some rose, then it all sort of goes hazy.

Sapporro is a nice lager. it's japanese and comes in finely sculpted, swaged cans

disclaimer: tom encourages you to drink responsibly
