Its brilliant to see this is now a possibility, shame it is so expensive! There are not many two seater spitfires in the world though so not entirely surprising.

For those interested Google "The Grace Spitfire" or "Carolyn Grace".

Her husband bought a Spitfire and restored it to airworthy condition, then was sadly killed in a car crash.

She learned to fly it and now is seen in air displays all over the country.

Worth a read.

A friend`of ours who learned to fly many years ago on a Tiger Moth was given a flight in the Grace Spitfire for his 80th birthday so in his log book the first entry is for a Tiger Moth and the last (he's not allowed to fly any longer) is for a Spitfire. Pretty impressive eh!

Ive flown in PV202, 40 mins logged as p2, from Duxford to Goodwood

sadly the following mission, my Pilot, colleague, family friend Lt Norman Lees, died in the same aircraft upside down, breaking both Pilots necks, and in a fire ball, it is a very risky, but when it works, and is possibly the most incredible day of my life
(don't tell the wife that bit, as she thinks getting married, Kids, four Grandkids etc is more important)

Oh, and it cost me nothing !! ive have two offers to go up again, due to my help, in getting the right Pilots to be available to do these open days and the money they bring in, keeps these fantastic aircraft flying,

My Mother is a plane buff, and knows all the WW2 aircraft, although she doesn't know it, has MY FREE ride in a two seat spit

it has just occurred to me, that if, any one was interested, in a flight in a Spitfire I can at no cost to you, or profit to myself, get a healthier price than the ones quoted

Flights from Goodwood west sussex

Steve,
That would be a brilliant prize for a charity night I am organising. Would you care to let me have some details via U2U, please . . . .
