Many years ago, A ship I was on sat behind one of those battleships at the Eastern end of the Med when it was chucking shells at the Lebanon (83), trust me the sonic boom has nothing on those beasts. Very impressive, a sign on the after end of the Gundeck said "if you cant stand the noise of the main armament, get off the fecking ship"
